Description
The Seymour reservoirs used to be watersheds. The state bought them and incorporated them into the Naugatuck State Forest. While these trails are not blazed, they are wide and flat. Most of the trails around the reserviors were used as service access trails by the CT regional water authority. For this reason, most are wide enough to drive a vehicle through. However motor vehical access is prohibited.
There is very little elevation gain if you stick to the trails near the reserviors and the trails are great for beginners.
